The Early Childhood and Families Department provides programs for children from 0 to 5 years and their parents/caregivers. Our goal is to support and promote healthy child development by providing a stimulating environment and implementing innovative practices in the field of early childhood. Our educators and animators facilitate many activities and workshops such as our Playgroup, Sharing Stories and Child Stimulation programs, which promote learning through play, exploration, early literacy, physical & social-emotional growth and healthy attachment.
Additionally, our program provides a unique experience for families to meet, exchange ideas and form meaningful and supportive connections with others in the community. We offer a variety of workshops for parents & caregivers such as Nobody’s Perfect, Lunch & Lecture and Nutrition programs, to engage with each other, explore ideas & topics related to parenting, and discover new and empowering facets of themselves as parents. We believe that parents are the first and best educators for their children, which is why involving the family and the community in children’s education and care is so important in our approach to early childhood.
Playgroups are parent and child stimulation workshops focusing on child development through interactive play.
This is a drop-off activity. Our educators support young children in their linguistic, physical, cognitive and social development through play based activities.
