The Legal Collective helps people who face multiple challenges and inequalities. To achieve our mission, we assist people who are not eligible for government legal aid or that do not possess the financial capacity to afford private legal services. We inform, guide and empower people who have to deal with legal difficulties, for free.
We elevate our community socially and economically by being a guide for the right to justice. We think that the access to justice contributes to a more inclusive and fair society. The Legal Collective leads its mission of access to justice for the people with lower incomes thanks to its team, its volunteers and donations.
Since 2002, our foundation has held more than 10 043 meetings, accompanied 440 people, trained 160 future jurists and offered 4 000 hours of volunteering. We are helping more than 1000 people each year. Our team, composed of 40 volunteers and 7 employees, possessed a diversified experience covering multiple laws. We have an animated team who promote the values of equity, justice and social solidarity.
